Personal Photography Policies

  1. We encourage visitors to take casual photographs or videos for their personal use while in the park. We do ask that you follow the rules below and all park rules when using the park.
    • Personal photographs may not be used for commercial purposes. If you are taking photographs for commercial purposes or if you are a professional photographer, please see our Professional Photography page.
  2. Please check the calendar below to determine blackout days.
    • Blackout dates are determined by event bookings. Blackout dates are subject to change as new events book.
    • Most of our events take place on the historic grounds but some events do take place elsewhere in the park. If an event is located outside of the historic grounds it will be noted in the calendar.
    • You can click on any of the 'blackout dates' on the calendar to see notes from the Site Manager.
  3. We do not allow confetti, seeds, artificial petals, powder canons, or any other items that can hurt the park's natural environment anywhere in the park.
  4. We do not allow drones anywhere in the park.
  5. The site manager must approve all props, email for more information
    • If your props are approved, you will be required to purchase a photography pass. This will apply whether or not you have a professional photographer taking the photos.
  6. When using the Manor House exterior, please remember this is a working venue and park office. The staff may ask you to relocate temporarily if the area is needed to conduct business.
  7. Please be respectful of parkgoers, staff, and other photographers.
  8. Please drive on roadways and park in designated areas. (Main, Station, Barnyard, or Kayak Parking)
    • Parking along Jericho Road is not allowed.
    • Do not block driveways or walkways.
    • We understand that parking is limited near the historic grounds. We added additional parking along the split rail fence to improve the situation.
  9. All current Windsor Castle Park and Smithfield Center bookings do not require a permit for photography when taking event-related photographs. You are still subject to the above rules and blackout dates.
  10. Elopements are not included with the photography pass.
    • If you would like to use the park for an elopement, please see our Elopements Page.
